Yes it is a harsh virus to control but it can be controlled im not overly keen on vaccines but if caught early enough the symptoms can be treated easily! Without kittens having to loose their eyes.
I personally would never breed - to me its morally wrong. But yeah your right it does pass from queens to kits and other cats very very easily.
