Some cats really do enjoy being outdoors, though (my little Mau kitten really does!), so it is nice if they can get to see the outside world from time to time if you're able. A great idea is a cat run, or if can cat-proof your garden, even better. I take mine out on a harness, which she really enjoys. Personally, I wouldn't let a cat of mine outdoors unsupervised, but that's just me (I'd be too afraid she got stolen or attacked by the foxes in the neighbouring cemetery. ).
