I had the same problem with one of my girls in that she just bolted her food down. LousKoonz suggested feeding on a tray so that the food was spread out more and therefore harder for them to eat as quickly. At first, it didn't seem to make much difference but after a couple of days, she was actually leaving food on the tray and then coming back a while later to have some more. It made a huge difference.
