I adopted 2 male black shepherds a year and half ago. At an animal shelter. They had no socialization with people. They love other dogs. They are a work in progress. They get a lot of attention. But I do feel disciminated at dog parks and on trails, even when we go camping. They tend to think they are some kind of wolf hybred. I get that all the time. But once they get to know them they change there minds and they are good dogs. I crate trained them overnight and when we left the house until they were about 10 months. Now they do great they have a dog door. They eat a part raw diet with kibble. My Nero is very thin and he eats as much as Brutus. I think he burns the calories because he is the more shy, nervous of the 2.
I have run into some people who never seen black GSD. I don't know if there more desiriable, maybe by people who want them. Minn
