I have 3 cats. 1 is 9 years old, one is 7 and Archie is 4. I never had a cat flap until last year. Archie worked it out immediately and never has a problem with it (even with his missing leg). The other two only use it when there is no other option (like we're at work)

I wonder if its due to habit. The older cats are probably used to me letting them in and out.
