Im so glad that others have stuck up for families with young children and young kittens!!!! Ive got 4 kids, youngest two are 2yrs and 3yrs old and ive got 4 kittens. Both of my children are brilliant with them, some kids can be a bit rough to start with but usually get bored of the new kitten very quickly anyway!! I agree that christmas is not the best time to get a kitten or any other pet really- too stressfull. Good luck with whatever you decide.
