We are looking for a kitten for our 3 year old little girl for Christmas....

We are liking the Snowshoes and the Persians.....but want one that will suit us, and they will be happy around us too.
I don't know what characteristics these breeds have...but as I say, I want them to be happy!!!

We are preferably after a female that is litter trained and been vacinated etc and is as young as can be! We also have a very loveable dog who doesn't mind cats at all!!!

We are willing to travel for the ideal cutie!!!

Thanks in Advance
I wish you luck in finding the right kitten for your family and reading through the posts on here I think you do understand the responsibilty involved and I'm sure your little girl will be supervised as far as possible.
I have grown up children and one teenager who have all grown up with cats and do not find the mix impossible. I just want to add though if your new cat lives to good age it will be at a difficult time for your daughter who will probably be in her late teens when inevitably the cat dies. I know not a nice thing to think about but one of my cats died in my sons arms when he was 10 (son not cat -cat was 13) and it is very hard for children to go through that. Sorry to be morbid.
On another note you mention Persians which take an awful lot of grooming so you need to think carefully about the breed you decide on. Good luck anyway
