Re: The DLRC have started a petition

OMG - have just logged on after computer problems and seen this thread.... TBH, if it wasn't for 'that' programme that turned so many pet owners against the KC that they are now more likely to fall for this drivel from the DLRC, it would be laughable.

DLRC is nothing more than a glorified pedigree writing serivce. It was started by a well known puppy farmer/dealer in order to give validity to puppy farm dogs, to fool buyers that they were getting a 'registered' dog and so therefore charge the same prices as a kc registered dog. bIt is nothing like the KC, it does not keep the records that the KC does, nor does it support financially or otherwise, health tests and the research into health problems.

Quote:
Sire: ZORGS THE WRANGLER (DLRC Reg. No. 29374) - Dam: ARTIG HOT CARGO (DLRC Reg. No. 29375)
This is a prime example - note the consecutive numbers on the pedigree of the sire and dam of this litter. Consecutive numbers for KC registration occurs in littermates. The number given a KC registered pup is issued it's number for life... all information on health tests, awards etc are recorded against this one entry. DLRC just puts a number next to the dog's name. (They used to show it on the sample pedigree on their website, but now have a blank sample..... I wonder why )

Anyone who registers their puppies with DLRC is supporting puppy farmers because it was started by and for puppy farmers....
