Why does the kc has to check all the breed standards and change them? - because they let the dogs come to what they are now and ppl dont like it.
Why does the kc still register byb and puppyfarmers and dont make health test mandatory? - because registered litters by byb mean money and health testing cost money and the money the kc would loose by loosing the byb is too gracious.
By having these powers the money for the kc would be guaranteed.
Its all sad at the end of the day.

You really think that, the KC have been established since 1873,I can't really see them going out of business when the reputable breeders will continue to register puppies with them, registrations have steadly risen, not decreased.
You have questions which can only be answered by the KC ask them.
A rep from the DLRC came onto this thread, plenty of questions were asked, they still to this day remain unanswered, why do you suspect that is ?

It seems the KC can't win with whatever option they go with, they are reviewing the breed standards, they plough money into researching specific breed tests, they strike breeders off, whatever they try and do will always get critisized by those who don't have a clue about what responsible ethical breeding is all about.
Many of us have said the KC isn't perfect but what other alternative is there ?
At least they are starting to recognise what ethical responsible breeders want and move in the right direction.
