Re: The DLRC have started a petition

I never get why people can't think of a better arguement than people who KC their litters are 'KC snobs'

It has nothing to do with snobbery, it has to do with not only caring about your own individual dogs, but the breed as a whole and the dog world as a whole.

Surely if you had the choise to register or buy with either a registration body that is known to register dogs with 'fake' (made-up) pedigrees, started by puppy farmers, pretty much for puppy farmers, who's registration stands for pretty much nothing, as no dog needs to have verified parentage for it's progeny to be registere dwitht hem int he first place, or a body that, despite what peopel say, do have best interests of the dogs at heart, do nto allow any puppies registered with them to be sold in shops or commercial outlets, have computer records of pedigrees and health tests carried out and (if this goes through!) insist upon health tests being carried out, you'd chose the second?

Englishrose, it is clear that you care about your dogs and are trying to do things properly, but why do you register with DLRC? Why not simply not register your litters ata ll? You could still give pedigrees out with them and you wouldn't be giving money to puppy farmers.
