I think they are a waste of valuable teaching time. My daughter who is now 21, was the first lot to start taking the sats at 5 years old, do they still do them at 5 ? My daughter used to worry about them, but my son who is two years older never cared, they always did well, but I felt sorry for the kids who didn't, who needs telling at such a tender age they have failed.
