Intestine Tumour

Hi

I was wondering if anyone had any advice they could give me.

My 10 year old 'baby' has a tumour in his intestine as as he has f.i.v. its not advisable to operate as it would never heal, i understand this but i am worried about his happiness. The vet has advised me that its a matter of weeks or months before he needs to be put to sleep, but he seems very sad just now and hasnt slept at all today, we only found out the new this afternoon.

I have another cat in the house and she has hissed and growled at him all day and i dont know whether this is having an impact on his happiness either, id rather he be put to sleep than live the next few weeks or months miserable.

If anyone could give me any advice i would be very grateful

Thanks
