start in the first place as you enjoy the hobby while it can last. if you only have 6 years then they will have been 6 happy years enjoying breeding cats of the breed you love. if your cats are unhappy when neutered and you still have entires then you would probably sit back and think well it's been good while it lasted but i think i'll neuter my cats now and enjoy them as neuters and prehaps even show them etc...

this is something that gets me with wanting to breed. i have neuters and i am not sure if an entire girl would upset the applecart. therefore i feel if i want to breed i would wait until prehaps my current generation of cats pass, which could be 30 years in which case i may not want to breed then, lol.... but if i did breed i could see myself breeding for a certain number of years until i stopped due to having girls neutered etc.

but i am blabbling on now. as i mentioned in a post before bring on the neuters, much better to live with,
