Mum, has a big old ginger tom that is very loving and sits on her all day and goes to bed with her at night. He is now getting old but does get on with other animals that come into the house, dogs, cats, and he is very loving.

I would like to get Mum another big cat of the same sort of nature, Ragdoll, Maine Coon size and temprament i.e. loving but she has to have one with close hair as grooming can be a pain as she has Arthritus in her hands. Can someone suggest a breed or even a cross, or if anyone can point me where there are some young rescue ones she'd love that. I say young as he/she will need to grow and get on with the resident. Her current adult male weighs 8.5 9 kilos and she'd like another to grow to that size.
