Saikou that's exactly what I was going to suggest

One of my moggies had five kittens just over five months ago. A very close friend wanted one but because he works long hours I thought she would be lonely all day and said he could have two, but not one. He wasn't sure but did have two and now says he is so pleased he did as they are such good company for each other when he is out.

I come home during the day to feed my three five month old fur babes and when they were younger I popped home to check on them every couple of hours - kittens can get into a lot of mischief

I personally think an eight week old kitten needs more than an hour visit during the day. Yes, they do sleep but mine only slept for short bursts, then played for a while and then dropped off to sleep again. I think the poor little thing will get lonely after having been taken from his Mum and siblings. Just my opinion and I am sure there are many who will disagree with me.
