Re: RAW Diet

To be honest fruit and veg is optional with a raw diet for dogs. If you get the basic mix correct 10% bone, 5% offal the rest muscle meat (inclusing hearts) veg can be give as a treat every now and again. Many dog owners have been feeding without veg for years and there is no difference in the condition of the dog.

Prize Choice add chicken to their minces for two reasons 1) to reduce the cost if they were just to sell 100% rabbit the cost would be inexcess of £3.00 per kg 2) to increase the bone content. There is more than adequate bone (probably too much) in Prizechoise minces.

Economy mince does not contain bone. It is illegal to sell mince in the UK that contains bone unless the package is marked pet food only!
