Her excercise was cut down as I was worried about attracting male dogs to her and also in case her need to find a man would take over. We have a large garden and my husband would take her out in the evening as he is more capable of warding off any potential boyfriends, anyway...that finally finished and she was back to her usual walks. Then she went into a phantom, really moody and sulky, her teets swelled up and this I just can't be bothered with attitude. The vet said to just leave it but if It gets any worse they would maybe have to give her something...well now she is fine, managed to get her mind off babies taking her out loads but now she is over weight. The vet thinks she looks very well but must not get any bigger, but when I took her to a show and we where with other dogs of her breed she is much larger and when we run her, her back now rolls.
I have cut back her food - Royal Canin Junior 32 with some cooked veg or sardines, and now upped her excercise, but with her only being 1 tomorrow I can't have her out for hours, so Is there something else I should or could be doing to help her shed the pounds - its not a lot but she does need to lose a bit.
Sorry for the long post
