nighttime play/attacks
My girlfriend and I have adopted a little tiger kitten we have named Indy (he reminds us of Indiana Jones acrobatics wise.) He is now 8 weeks old and over the last week he is for the most part a great well adjusted kitten. I know cats are nocturnal, and I know kittens have alot of energy so before I go to bed at around 4 AM (I'm a cook so I live on a strange schedule) I will play with him as much as possible to tire him out. My problem is that he will usually curl up somewhere near our heads and we will all go to sleep. But then a couple hours later one of us will be attacked at our hands, arms, faces or ears. I know he's just playing and is a baby so he doesn't understand. But I need to figure out a way to make him stop. Its not just the annoyance factor, he is actually drawing blood because when you are attacked in your sleep you have a tendency to pull away. Anybody have any ideas. I am now locking him in the bathroom, but I was wondering if there was a better way to go. Thanks
