I agree that any training will need to be really repetitive, I've got Alfie, an 9 month old Beagle and there was no way we could have sat down with a cuppa without him putting his tongue in it a few months ago! He is slowly getting a lot better and learnt that it's not for him. I think it just takes time and an awful amount of patience! I've been scalded more than once, as long as its me though and not him!

I think they do have peculiar little traits, Alf's is definitely barking, at anything and anyone!
