This picture can be as one stated... a Japanese Akita Inu who is out of coat... still in the leggy stage of development and is still developing and yes when they are out of coat they can look like no one owns them

Akita Inu's do not have the massive bone substance that the American types have.. hence they can look terribly thin when not in coat.
Akita Inus (KC reg and Recognised since January 2006) prior to were registered as the Japanese Akita/ Akita... obviously a totally different breed so we are very pleased at the split.
When in full coat and at thier best they can be beautiful in thier own right

Akita Inu's are still relatively new to the uk... and are ever growing... here for anyone interested.
