I think if they've been okay with the arrangements so far, you might as well stick to how you've been feeding them. Whenever my kitten goes to the vet, I just ask them to weigh her, so I know that she isn't overweight. Other than that, everyone feeds their kitties differently, in different amounts and at different intervals, but as long as they don't seem hungry, or seem to be "pigging out" then I wouldn't worry.
