congrats on a fine choice of dog. one of ours is a retired racer and yes we to have cats. ours hates cats and catches them as well, its not pretty when he does and he has reduced the number of neighbourhood cats ere, but as long as you are careful accidents can be avoided. they are the most loving breed and one id recomment to anyone. hes on the link below if u want to see him.
one thing to remember is that they have the lowest percentage of body fat of all breeds, i think its 7%, so due to this they really do hate the cold.
