I'm very excited as we are finally getting a dog. We've fallen in love with a rescue greyhound and have reserved her, just waiting to pass the home check. My only reservation is the fact we have a cat - the rescue have paired us up with a dog that doesn't have a strong chase instinct though. So am hoping that introductions will go OK.

One question I've got is do people recommend we get a crate? I saw today that one greyhound rescue will only rehome to people who have one. The rescue I've used haven't mentioned one. Are the soft crates any good?

Any advice on settling her in would be good!
