Re: Fireworks
All my dogs are scared to death of fireworks and thunder, my little old man cant hear them anymore but he used to pant and literally be stuck to my leg all the time they were going on. Buddy my GSD who I sadly lost this week used to hide under the bed, try to get into the smallest space he could or sit on my lap! My other guy worries but isnt too bad.
As we all know the fireworks dont just happen on 5th Nov it carries on before and after and if I was ever out somewhere and the dogs were alone I would have to rush home else my house would be wrecked.
One time they took out the baby gate on the stairs went into my sons bedroom and literally moved the bed across the room and ripped the back off the base and another time ripped the door frame off the kitchen door! I did after a couple of years end up going to the vets to get sedatives because it was less stressful for them. I dont think fireworks should be sold to the public, only organized displays on 5th Nov should be allowed, this would save our poor dogs from suffering too much and there wouldnt be so many humans hurt either!!
