I dont use a mat, mom wont stay with them if its too hot, but she has very dense fur. I just leave the heating on instead.

I would leave it another week, they cant regulate their own temperature untill they are around 2 weeks old.

Maybe reduce the temperature gradually rather than completly take it away, they might feel the cold more with being used to the heat mat.
