Hi Jen, welcome to you. If she was calling, you'd know, as she would be meowing a lot, making cooing noises, rolling about and generally being a flirt, lol.
Get a water pistol or something and when you see the cats at your door, squirt them, they will soon get the message.
Can't help you with vets in Leeds though, sorry. Best look in your yellow pages and visit a few to see which you like
