Lead Training

Hi, I have a 7 month of springer spaniel. We had lots of trouble with her in the beginning. She destroyed the carpet and started eating the walls so I have holes by her bed, but we got some advice and now at home she is the almost perfect dog.

My problem is, when we take her out for a walk, she changes into this mad dog, jumping and pulling. Once we get to the field again she changes into almost perfect dog again, she sits and I tell her to wait whilst I take the lead off and until I say she can go. She comes back to you upon a whistle and when the lead comes back out she will sit and wait for you to put it on and then the demon comes back and she starts to pull again. Its worse when we go out with our dog Juno as I take them both for a walk in the mornings before work. I have taken her out on her own in the evenings and although she is better she still jumps and pulls.

I hold the lead in my right hand and walk her to the left of me.

Please help as I get so stressed whilst we are out walking and I know this makes her worse as she picks up on it.

Thanks

Tracey x
