I ended up keeping three of the kittens WittyKitty. The grey one and two of her sisters. The other two - a boy and another girl - went to my best friend and they have totally wrapped him around their tiny paws.

My three play happily together. Tabitha has stopped feeding them at last but still washes them and tells them off occasionally. The other four cats mostly ignore them.
