From what I've seen on different shows, if you immediately turn around as soon as they start barking and walk quickly in the other direction for a few minutes, then turn back and walk towards whatever they were barking at and if they start again, then turn around again and walk quickly in the other direction and keep repeating until they stop the barking! Seems to work on TV but don't know if it does in real life!
