Do u walk them together?
My gsd barks sometimes at other dogs too and mostly when we walk our dogs together.
Barking at other dogs usually means "stay away from us, dont come too close". Its sounds sometimes worse than it is.
I know how u feel about feeling embarresd, i felt like that too until i understood my dogs behaviour
