Our cat Chester had an operaton yesterday to remove an abcsess from his shoulder. He has stitches a drain and is wearing a buster collar, the vet has given us instruction on how and when to give him his medication but , can anybody give some advice on how we should look after him.

Should we leave him to rest or should we keep stroking him etc... we just don't want him to be distressed any more than he already is !
