We have always had pedigree dogs, Labradors, OESDs and Collies; we now have a crossbreed and find her temperament is better, her health is too and then I watched the programme about the KC and dog breeds - the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels suffering such agony; the Boxers having fits and decided that humans have forgotton that we have lost sight of the fact all dogs are mongrels and "breeds" are man-made and controlled by the breeders and KC who are causing these poor innocent creatures such abhorant suffering... why? People are slagging off crossbreeds/designer dogs and the cost of which IMO is cheaper than many pedigree costs.
