Re: floor covering

I have had rats for 17+ years now and i have used woodshavings
(before i knew better) carefresh shredded paper sheets of newspaper on cage floor and Biocatolet and the best way by far i have found is BIOCATOLET so easy to clean out i just scoop it up with a dustpan and hardly no smells at all. I have 13 ratlings and on Biocatolet im still not getting hardly any odour

Shavings are a problem because they contain something called phenols and that and the dust can cause nasty chesty problems in ratlings
