Was he an outdoor cat? As an aside really ought to get him neutered especially if he is an outdoor cat. Mine are indoor but are neutered and microchiped just incase.

Just to everyone: I phoned the lady on Jellybeans behalf. It could be Rolo but they need more info and photos before they can confirm. Hopefully it will be a happy ending.
