Re: Starting breeding

Breeding cats is extremely expensive. If you want to do it the right way then your initial outlay can add up to a few thousand pounds for quality breeding cats and to providing them with the right environment such as housing, heating, quality food, litter, veterinary expenses. etc.

Add more money on top if you intend to prove the quality of what you produce by exhibiting them, anything from £50-100 per show for a cat. Also and probably the most important thing to bear in mind is that you will have to give up most if not all of your free time, holidays, social life. etc.

Breeding cats is a lifetime commitment which will involve sheer hard work, loss of personal life and a chronically deficient bank balance..........anything else will be a bonus.
