There seems to be no reason to mix the dry in with the wet, maybe if you didn't add the dry then he would be able to eat a whole tin at a time rather than half. But if you want to change him onto the adult, I don't see it being a problem. The only thing is, I am not sure if applaws is a complete food, but as you feed a complete dry aswell, then this is not a problem.
