My Mumma cat was spayed when the kittens were 7 weeks old and eating solids etc. I felt the Kittens were healthy and well on the solids and so it was ok. My Vet spayed Mum even though she still had a small amount of milk no problem.

Hope you get the fleas sorted and as mentioned above maybe keep mum in as she certainly can and will get pregnant again.
