Does anyone else cook food for their dogs?
I cook lambs hearts twice a week with garlic & carrot for my 3 they can't get enough of it, (they have a scoop of their dried dog food with it too).
I also cook mince again with garlic & carrot or chopped turky leg meat for them, or occasionally liver & kidney once a week so 3 days sometimes 4 I cook meat the other days they have tinned dog food mixed in with their dried dog food.
Often bake my own dog biscuits too, & add cheese to some as a treat which they love
Though I am careful with their weight Halle & Luna put weight on very easily so I have to watch them Diesel burns all his off so he gets more plus he's a lot bigger than they are.
They also enjoy a tin of evaporated milk watered down with warm water 3 times a week, I was told by a breeder the evaporated milk is good for their coats years ago when I had my labs, so it's always been a treat I give 3 times a week too
Should add they dont have a whole tin of evaporated milk each they have 1/2 a tin watered down each time
