Personally I wouldn't use a cardboard box if you have a chewer, it will just get chewed and maybe swallowed... well that's what Foxy would do if I wasn't in the room .
If you go for a plastic bed make sure it has some thing under it or has the cups as my dogs bed scratched or floor to pieces if he lept in to fast it use to shoot across the room
