Re: Chips has had her kittens....
What a gorgeous Mummy cat - and lovely fur babies too.
Tabitha left her kittens on the day they were born which worried me a bit but she doesn't like using a litter tray so insisted on going out to the garden. She would often leave them when they were asleep but I noticed that if I picked them up to check them or they cried slightly she would appear really quickly.
They are now 14 weeks and she still washes them and runs up to them if they mieow. She's been a brilliant Mum - I think she just needed a break, but stayed within earshot so if they needed her she was there. Her ideal was if I crawled in my wardrobe (where she chose to give birth, ignoring the box I had prepared in my spare room) and stroked her while she was feeding the kittens. She would purr and purr. I sensed she wanted to be with me and with her babies too. Maybe that is the case with Chips - she wants to be with you?
