They told me that their products are made in the UK using 100% British Chicken which are passed fit for human consumption by British vets. They told me that they had one complaint aprox 3 years ago made to Trading Standards who investigated it fully and found that the company met all legislation in full and according to them the case was officially closed. Being the trusting soul I am I decided to check myself? Trading Standards are required to publish all convictions they make. I contacted them and found true enough there had never been any convection of any type against the company or any Applaws product. Just to double check I called them direct and they told me that there had been a single complaint almost 3 years ago and that the case was “officially closed”. The company also told me that the factory has made over 70 million 2kg packs, a total weight that is the aprox weight of two cruise ships and during this time no other such complaints have been made to TS. They said that they use British ingredients of the highest standard and that their chicken comes from British Chicken which is approved for human consumption by British vets and they do not use any cereals at all which in the US had been the source of melamine. They told me that not only do they produce their food in the UK but they source their ingredients in the UK giving jobs and security to hundreds of families across the country. Unfortunately it seems that some people like to spread untrue scare mongering stories rather than spread the truth which for some is far less interesting. Don’t get me wrong some cats may have a problem with their food but you will always get some cats that will have a problem with any food.
