I wouldn't eat Hill's either, do you know what's in it?
Have you considered BARF/raw? If not I would advise looking at a better quality food.
Orijen (70% meat, 30% fruit & veg, no grains) is the best dry food in my opinion and James Wellbeloved is also decent quality.
Also have you tried wetting the food before serving? Or possibly adding some wet food to make it more tasty.
