Erm, I don't think a healthy dog would eat it's own excrement. I don't know of any of my friend's dogs eating their own but in a wolf kill the most sort after treat is the stomach contents of the herbivore that has just been brought down as the part digested plants provide much needed minerals, hence dogs will eat horse excrement as it's recycled grass and easier to digest than raw grass.
Dog excrement though is a whole different kettle of fish. Here's a site I found that may help to explain why your dogs are fond of their own brand:
