Okay guys, I have been wanting to feed my cats raw and have asked about it many times on here and then given up, but this time I am really going to get them to eat it, but I need your help.
Right... So I have got Roxy (9 month old female), Smudge (9 month old male), Murray (9 month old male) and Twiglet (12 week old female).
Okay, so I thought I would try something as close to cat food as I could to start with (texture wise) so I got some mince, two days ago I fed them a mixture of their cat food (Bozita) and Turkey mince. Twiglet loved it! In fact, I didn't even have to mix hers with the cat food. Smudge and Murray ate a reasonable amount but Roxy barely touched it and just snacked on her dry food.
I fed it again for breakfast the next morning, this time Smudge and Murray took to it a bit better but Roxy still walked away.
Yesterday evening, I came home with kidney... yuck! So I chopped it up a bit at first (omg disgusting!) Murray sniffed it and walked off to the dry food, as did twiglet. Roxy and Smudge were eating the chopped up bits quite happily, I then fed them whole kidneys and they attacked them really well.
They seemed pretty hungry, and as the others were not going for the kidney at all (even though I even tried to sneak it into the dry food bowle, they just dug round it. So I got out some diced chicken, breaking it into little bits at first, Roxy and Smudge gobbleing it down, but Twiglet and Murray still just walking away. (I think by this point, my hands stunk of Kidney!). I was having great sucess with Smudge and Roxy they were eating massive bits of chicken by the end of the evening, but all murray and twiglet had eaten was dry food.
This morning, I put down beef mince (mixed with Bozita), Twiglet once again gobbled down the mince no problem, but the other 3 barely touched any of it and have gone off outside with no breakfast. The thing is, the amount Roxy and Smudge ate last night, to be honnest they prob aren't even that hungry but Murray is just not eating anything.
Any Suggestions welcome!
