Hi and welcome to the forum. I got my collie when she was 6 mths old and had never been on a leash or in a house. I think that letting her have the leash on in the house is a good idea don't hold the end let her drag it for a few minutes give her a treat to take her mind of it and stay with her or she might chew it or get caught in something. When you do go out with her you may have to kneel down and call her then go to the end of the leash again and kneel down and call her she will soon realize that it's okay...Jill
