Well, having a live in pet sitter would be far costly than a kennel and we re extremely busy at this time of year, with little availability. However, I have heard of a company that offer pet swaps. Unsure how this works, but you could try google. There is also a company called 'Barking Mad' who take dogs into their own home. That should also be a cheaper alternative.
