For some tt is a teritiorial thing, a way of marking their scent.

For others its lazy!

One of my boys (smudge) has got into the habbit of not covering his, because as soon as he goes I get him out of the tray and remove it for him... there is a very good reason for this... 9 times out of 10 he will stand in the stuff!!! Argh!!!

And while we are on the subject of litter tray habbits, my other boy (murray) doesn't ever stand in the tray, he balances himself on the edge of the tray and squats over it! (even when the tray is completely clean).
