Firstly, my kittens never sleep in their bed when they're supposed to! I wouldn't worry about him not staying in his bed, he'll just go to sleep whenever he's comfy and tired.

Is he going to be an indoor or outdoor cat? My two are indoor and don't wear collars, so I can't answer that one.
