Re: Frontline Spoton - increased scratching
The past winter wasn't too cold plus it has been rather wet & warm recently so perhaps that's contributed to the number of fleas and ticks around. Alternatively, there might be a new super-duper, genetically-enhanced strain of cat fleas.
The supermarket flea spot-on (Bob Martin) worked perfectly for the last 4 years keeping both her and us flea-free. However, we have discovered that the supermarket sprays/powders for the house aren't worth diddlysquat. I'm about to try Skoosh so will see if that does what it says on the tin.
Since posting this morning, she has settled down to sleep and doesn't seem to be as frantic in her grooming. Perhaps it was the flea equivalent of steak & chips before the long walk to the electric chair. I'll see how she is when she wakes up. Whatever, she still blames us for the fleas.
