Sounds like he's landed heavily on his paw whilst playing,if he's used his paws to dig in the tray,would just make sure he rests-which he probably will anyway and boys always milk it)Welcome along Redd-i'm sure he'll be fine but if by tomorrow you see no improvement then have a word with your vet
